Many financially independent (read: obscenely wealthy) people eagerly awaited roadster from Bugatti. Last roadster left the factory before the Second World War, and EB110 concept from Romano Artiolli was never put into production. After more than a half century waiting, Bugatti officially presented retractable top Veyron.



Featuring a removable top and the necessary structural upgrades, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport retains the standard model's 1,001-horsepower 16-cylinder mid-mounted engine that allows the roadster to reach a top speed of 407km/h (253mph), while speeds of up to 360km/h (224mph) are possible with the roof off.

The first (and at that time only) roadster was sold at auction for 2.19 million dollars.

All in all, Bugatti will produce a total of 150 units of the Grand Sport. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport sales start in July with the first 50 going the existing owners of �normal� Bugatti Veyron. The price of car is approximately 2 million dollars.
